About NOA (National ophthlamic association)

With the formation of Indian Optometry Federation (IOF) there was a single voice for independent and regulated profession of Optometry in India, like many other countries.

It was a live example of Unity in Diversity in India. With the formation of IOF it was decided that 10+2 Science with Minimum 2 years or more qualification from recognized institute will be known as Optometrist Professionals in India.

After the year of 2020 only those who have 10+2 Science with minimum 4 years degree course from recognized institution will be known as Optometrist.

As a result of united voice University Grant Commission (UGC) notified in its gazette B-Optometry 4 year Degree Course and M-Optometry 2 years Degree Course after B-Optometry.

Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Govt. of India finalized the 4 year course curriculum of B-Optometry.

Bachelor in Optometry a 4 year degree has been stated in 56 universities across the country. (More imformation)
