Some important point about Asteroid hyalosis

Asteroid hyalosis is a typical  degenerative condition where calcium pyrophosphate particles gather inside the vitreous gel.

It is seen clinically as various modest round yellow–white opacities of differing size and thickness.

These move with the vitreous during eye development yet don't silt poorly when the eye is stable.

Just one eye is influenced in 75% of patients; it seldom causes visual issues of patients are asymptomatic.

A relationship with diabetes has been proposed, yet is doubtful.

The pervasiveness of asteroid hyalosis increments with age and influences 3% of those matured 75–86 years.
It is more typical in men than in ladies.

OCT and ultrasonography show high reflectivity foci.
